Kannada Vaibhava - 2008

THE Chief Minister of  Karnataka, B S Yeddyurappa, will be a special guest at the annual Kannada Vaibhava of Kannada Sangha, Bahrain which will be held on November 14 at Bahrain Keraleeya Samajam's Diamond Jubilee Hall in Manama.The event will start at 4pm.

Indian ambassador H.E Sri Balakrishna Shetty, will be the chief guest on the occasion

               

Medical Education Minister Ramachandra Gowda, Panchayatraj and Rural Development Minister Shobha Karand-laje and Karkala constituency member Gopal Bhandary are the other special invitees.

 

Leading media personalities Satish Pai and his wife Sandhya will be guests of honour.

Mrs Pai is the executive editor of Taranga, a Kannada weekly, Tushara, a Kannada monthly, and Roopathara, a film magazine.

Mr Pai is the managing editor of Kannada daily Udayavani and managing director of Manipal Press. He is also an executive committee member of the Indian Newspaper Society.

Leading TV actor Ravi Shankar, presently famous for his debut performance in the super hit Kannada film Payana (Journey) and  Sangeetha, his singer wife will perform at the event.

 

Vidhushi Sahana Bhat, Director, Natyanjali Centre, Sirsi, and internationally acclaimed Bharatanatyam artiste is in Bahrain. She will train young Sangha artistes for a special ballet to be performed on the  occasion. The ballet will be based on Hindu epic Ramayana.

Lok Ayuktha Sri N Santhosh Hegde's visit to Kannada Sangha

A felicitation programme was organized at the Bahrain Kannada Sangha for  Sri. N Santhosh Hegde, Karnataka Lokayukta and former Justice of Supreme Court. Mr.Hegde was accompanied by H E Balakrishna Shetty, the Indian Ambassador to Bahrain.
